Admin Guide - Predecessor/Successor LWC - Hide 'Internal Only' Tasks

The External Mode setting enables a streamlined experience for Experience Cloud users by automatically filtering out internal-only Project Tasks, ensuring external users see only relevant project information.

This guide explains how to configure the new External Mode setting for the Inspire Planner - Task Predecessors & Successors component.

Please note:

You must be a Salesforce System Administrator to complete the steps outlined in this help article.

1. In Setup, enter "Lightning App Builder" in the Quick Find box and click on Lightning App Builder.
   
   
    
2. Click Edit next to the Lightning Record page that contains the Inspire Planner - Task Predecessor/Successor LWC. The image below is just an example.
   
   
    
3. Click the Inspire Planner - Task Predecesser/Successor LWC on the page to select it. The component settings will appear in the panel on the right.
   
   
    

4. Set External Mode to TRUE. When enabled, the component automatically excludes Project Tasks marked as Internal Only, ensuring external Experience Cloud users see the same filtered view as in the Gantt.
   
   
    

5. Repeat the steps above for any other Lightning Record page that contains the Inspire Planner - Task Predecessor/Successor Lightning Web Component.
