Contact Resource Filtering

Last Modified On: July 8, 2026

The Inspire Planner Resource Filter helps you quickly find available resources by displaying only Contacts that are designated as Inspire Planner resources. This makes it easier to assign project resources and review resource utilization by reducing the number of Contacts shown in resource searches.

When the Enable Resource Filter custom setting is set to TRUE, Inspire Planner uses the Inspire Planner Resource checkbox on Contact records to determine which Contacts are available as resources. Only Contacts marked as Inspire Planner Resources will appear in resource selection and assignment areas, including Resource Utilization, Resource Attributes, Project Team Assignment, and Add Collaborator.

This help article walks you through how to designate Contacts as Inspire Planner resources so they can be included in resource searches and assignments.

    Please Note:

This feature will be available with the Inspire Planner JUL 2026 Major Release available in Production environments on August 11, 2026.

    Prerequisite:

Before designating Contacts as Inspire Planner resources, Salesforce Administrators must first complete the configuration steps outlined in the Admin Guide - Configure the Inspire Planner Resource Filter.

    1. Create or select a List View.

    2. Click List View Controls and select Select Fields to Display.

    3. From the list of available fields, add Inspire Planner Resource to the visible fields. Use the up and down arrows to reorder the fields as needed. Click Save to save your changes.

    5. Hover over the Inspire Planner Resource checkbox and click the Edit icon.
