File Attachments

Inspire Planner allows you to attach files or documents to your Project Tasks to make it easy for you and other users to collaborate and view documents that relate to each project task.

    File Attachment Indicator

The paperclip icon you see beside each project task is the File Attachment indicator. When grayed out, this means that there is no file attached to the task. When a file is attached, the paperclip icon appears highlighted.

When a new file is attached by another user and you haven't viewed the file, the paperclip icon will display a red number indicating how many unread files are attached to the project task.

Salesforce Task and Project Task - Chatter Collaboration

The Inspire - Project Task Chatter Feed Lightning Component can be added to the Salesforce Task Lightning record page to allow assigned users to see the Project Task Chatter Feed from within their assigned Salesforce Tasks. This feature makes it easier for project managers and assigned resources to post updates and share information specific to a task.

The Inspire - Project Task Chatter Feed Lightning component is different from the native Salesforce Task Chatter. This means that when you post an update, a link or share a file in the Project Task Chatter in the project, these will not display in the native Salesforce Task Chatter feed and vice versa. You will need to add the Inspire - Project Task Chatter Feed Lightning component to your Salesforce Task Lightning record page so that you can see the Project Task Chatter posts. For more information, please see Salesforce Task - Adding the Project Task Chatter Feed Lightning Component
