When creating Projects in Inspire Planner, you can choose to specify a Parent Project. Parent Projects are used for grouping projects together and can be used to create a hierarchy of projects - used mainly for reporting. A parent project can have many child projects.
There are no roll-up fields on the parent project nor does it provide you with a Gantt Chart of the child projects. If you are looking for the ability to group projects together and be able to view a Gantt Chart, please see Portfolios.
You can specify a parent project by searching for a project in the Parent Project lookup field.
Parent projects are used mainly for reporting purposes. For example, you can choose to group projects together by their parent.
You can also use the parent project when filtering your report data.
