Admin Guide - External Project Portal - "My Tasks" Column Configuration

Last Modified On: October 29, 2026

The Unified Task List provides external portal users with a centralized view of their tasks across the projects shared with them, allowing them to manage their work without navigating into each project individually.

The Unified Task List simplifies task management for external users by bringing their assigned work together in a single view. Rather than opening individual projects to find their tasks, users can access their work from the My Tasks tab in the External Project Portal.

Administrators can configure which task columns are displayed in the Unified Task List to ensure that external users see the information most relevant to their work. This help article explains how to configure the displayed task columns.

Administrators can customize the columns displayed in the My Tasks tab of the External Project Portal to ensure that external users have access to the task information most relevant to their work. Follow the steps in this section to configure which fields are displayed as columns in the "My Tasks" tab.

    1. In Setup, go to Object Manager.

    2. Enter "Task" in the search box and click Task.

    3. Go to Field Sets and click Inspire Planner - Portal My Tasks.

    4. From the list of available fields at the top, drag the fields you want to display as columns into the In the Field Set box. The columns are  inserted before the Description column, is read-only, and is automatically excluded if it duplicates one of the core columns. Click Save to save your changes.
