The Toggle Between Planned & Actual Effort feature allows users to quickly switch between Planned Effort and Actual Effort when viewing resource utilization. This makes it easy to see how each team member’s workload aligns with what was originally planned.
Use Cases:
Monitor individual or team resource utilization to identify over- or under-allocation.
Compare planned workload versus actual effort to balance assignments effectively.
Analyze past projects to improve future resource planning and forecasting.
Key Benefits:
Instantly see resource allocation vs. actual work without running multiple reports.
Improve visibility into team workloads for smarter decision-making.
Save time by accessing effort data directly within the Gantt, task list, or resource views.
Please note:
Use the toggle in the Resource Utilization component to switch between Planned Effort and Actual Effort. Planned Effort is displayed by default.
When viewing Planned Effort, expanding a resource shows all project tasks assigned to that resource, grouped by project.
When viewing Actual Effort, expanding a resource displays individual time entries logged for each project task, grouped by project.
When viewing Actual Effort, you’ll only see time entries you have permission to access. To view all time entries, assign the Inspire Planner – Resource Manager permission set to the user.
You can filter results by Project Name, Project Status, or Task Status when viewing either Planned or Actual Effort. For details, see Resource LWC - BETA - Additional Filters
