Set Salesforce Task "Type" Field to Visible for all users

    In some instances, some user profiles do not have access to the "Type" field in Activities which prevents them from being able to create booking tasks in the Resource Allocation page. This help article walks you through how to ensure that users have access to the "Type" field.


    1. Click on the Gear Icon at the top right corner and go to Setup.

    2. Go to Object Manager.

    3. Enter "Task" in the Quick Find box and go to Task.

    4. Go to Fields & Relationships and click on Type.

    5. Click on Set Field-Level Security.

    6. Set it to Visible for all user profiles and click on Save.
