Admin Guide - Project Task Health Indicator

    With the Project Task Health Indicator in Inspire Planner, With the new Project Task Health Indicator in Inspire Planner, you’ll see visual health icons right on your Project Task and Salesforce Task records—showing whether each task is On Time (🔵), At Risk (🟠), or Late (🔴).

     

    These indicators update automatically based on the task’s planned finish date, percent complete, and remaining work—giving you a real-time, standardized view of progress across your entire project.

     

    This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add the project task health indicator to your project tasks and Salesforce Tasks.

     

     

    Grant Access to Task Health Indicator Field in Project Task Object

    Start by granting access to the Task Health Indicator field in the Project Task object.

     

    Access to this field is already included in the following Inspire Planner Standard permission sets:

    • Inspire Planner Standard User - v1.12 Permission Set
    • Inspire Planner - Lite User
    • Inspire Planner - Read-Only User

     

    If you are using custom permission sets, you will need to edit them and grant access to this field.

     

    1. In Setup, enter "Permission Sets" in the Quick Find box and click on Permission Sets.


       
    2. Click on your custom permission set. The image below is just an example.


       
    3. Go to Object Settings.


       
    4. Click on Project Tasks.


       
    5. Click on Edit.


       
    6. Enable Read Access for Task Health Indicator (inspire1__Task_Health_Indicator__c). Then, save your changes.

     

    Grant Access to Task Health Indicator Field in Salesforce Task Object

    Start by granting access to the Task Health Indicator field in the Salesforce Task object.

     

    Access to this field is already included in the following Inspire Planner Standard permission sets:

    7. Repeat the steps above for each custom permission set assigned to Inspire Planner users.

     

    Add Task Health Indicator Field to Project Task Page Layout

    The next step is to add the Task Health Indicator field to the project task page layout.
     

    1. In Setup, go to Object Manager.


       
    2. Enter "Project Task" in the Quick Find box and click on Project Task.


       
    3. Go to Page Layouts and click on the page layout you are using.


       
    4. From the list of available fields on top, drag Task Health Indicator to your desired area on the page. Click on Save to save your changes.

     

    Add Task Health Field to Salesforce Task Page Layout

    The next step is to add the Task Health field to the Salesforce Task page layout.
     

    1. In Setup, go to Object Manager.


       
    2. Enter "Task" in the Quick Find box and click on Task.


       
    3. Go to Page Layouts and click on the page layout you are using.


       
    4. From the list of available fields on top, drag Task Health to your desired area on the page. Click on Save to save your changes.
