Enable Inspire Planner User Setting for Inspire Planner Users

    After installing Inspire Planner and assigning Inspire Planner licenses to your users, you would also need to enable the Inspire Planner User field on each user's profile. You can then set the visibility for Inspire Planner Lightning components based on this field.

     

    Please note, there is a scheduled, nightly job within Inspire Planner called "Check Inspire Licenses" that will automatically check the box for "Inspire Planner User" on the user's profile if the user has been granted an Inspire Planner License. You can manually check the box for Inspire Planner User if you do not wish to wait for the job to run.

     

    This help article will walk you through how to add the Inspire Planner User field to the User Page Layout and how to enable this setting for all Inspire Planner users.

    Add the Inspire Planner User Field to the User Page Layout

    This section will walk you through how to add the Inspire Planner User field to the user profile page layout.

     

    1. Click on the Gear Icon at the top right corner and go to Setup.


       
    2. Go to Object Manager.


       
    3. Enter "user" in the Quick Find box at the top right corner of the page and then click on User from the list of available objects.


       
    4. In the menu on the left, go to User Page Layouts. Then, click on the dropdown arrow to the right of User Layout and click on Edit.


       
    5. Drag the Inspire Planner User field to your desired area on the page and click on Save.

     

    Enable Inspire Planner User Setting for All Inspire Planner Users

    This section will walk you through how to enable the Inspire Planner User field for each Inspire Planner User.

     

    1. While still in Setup, go to the Home.



       
    2. Enter "users" in the Quick Find box on the left and click on Users.


       
    3. Click on Edit beside an Inspire Planner user's name.



       
    4. Look for the Inspire Planner User checkbox on the user's profile and check the box. Then, click on Save.
