The enhancement focuses on improving readability, consistency, and at-a-glance interpretation of project schedules by standardising colours, layout density, and interaction behaviour across task bars, milestones, grid elements, and navigation controls.
Key improvements include a new status-driven visual system for task bars and milestones, and enhanced visual cues such as live status-based icon updates, critical path highlighting, and improved dependency styling. The toolbar and header areas have also been redesigned for a more compact, modern layout using a consistent icon system.
Overall, this restyle delivers a more cohesive and intuitive scheduling experience, ensuring that users can interpret project status, progress, and critical work faster and more consistently across the platform.
Gantt LWC - Navigating the Inspire Planner Project Gantt
Creating a project from a template now includes the ability to copy related records associated with the template project. This includes standard Inspire Planner records, such as Risks, Issues, and Change Requests, as well as customer-specific custom object records that have a relationship to the Project.
This enhancement provides a more complete project setup experience by allowing important project information and related records to be carried forward when creating projects from templates, while also supporting customer-specific extensions.
For more information, please see the following help articles which have been updated to include these enhancements.
Manual enablement required. This feature is not enabled automatically as part of the upgrade. An administrator must complete the required configuration steps before it becomes available. See the applicable Admin Guide for setup instructions.
Admin Guide - Project Template Related Records Inheritance
Added the ability to move a sprint and all of its associated user stories from one Agile project to another. This simplifies managing active work when closing or completing Agile projects.
For more information, please see Agile Projects - Move Sprints to Another Agile Project
Added the ability to disable the Print and Export buttons, allowing administrators to prevent users from printing or exporting project data when required.
Admin Guide - Disable Print and Export in the Gantt LWC
Added an optional resource filter to improve performance and simplify resource selection in organizations with large numbers of Contact records. When the new Enable Resource Filter setting is enabled, Inspire Planner only displays Contacts marked as Inspire Planner Resource in resource-related searches and lookups, including Resource Utilization, Resources, Attributes, task assignments, and project collaborators.

The Inspire Planner Settings Console has been enhanced to provide Salesforce administrators with a centralized, modern interface for managing Inspire Planner settings.
It consolidates application settings - including those previously maintained in the Inspire Planner Config custom setting - into a single, easy-to-use administration page.
The Inspire Planner Settings Console is available only to users with the Inspire Planner Administrator permission set. This helps ensure that only authorized administrators can view and modify configuration settings.
IP-1293 - Validate Referenced Statuses, Fields & Pages on Save -The Inspire Planner Settings Console validates supported settings before saving. If a value such as a Status, field API name, or Visualforce page is invalid or does not exist, a clear validation message is displayed so you can correct it before the changes are saved.
IP-1294 - Masked Sensitive Settings - Sensitive values, including the Scheduler Token and Portal Client ID, are now masked by default. Administrators can choose to reveal these values when needed, helping prevent sensitive information from being exposed on screen.
IP-1295 - One Place for Scheduled, On-Demand & Migration Jobs - A new Maintenance Jobs page brings all Inspire Planner maintenance jobs together in one place. Administrators can run jobs and view their last run status from a single screen, making it easier to monitor and manage background processes.
IP-1296 - Native Lightning (SLDS2) Look & Feel - The Inspire Planner Settings Console has been redesigned with a modern, Salesforce-native interface, providing a familiar and seamless administration experience.
IP-1297 - Search, Show Advanced, Help Icons & Feature Badges - The Inspire Planner Settings Console makes it easier to find and manage settings with a Quick Find search that filters settings across all configuration groups. Advanced settings are hidden by default to reduce clutter and can be displayed when needed. Settings with additional guidance include an information icon with inline help, while Premium+ features are clearly identified with a Premium+ badge.

Resolved an issue where the Predecessors and Successors columns continued to display dirty tags even after changes to the project schedule had been cleared. The dirty indicators were not being removed correctly, causing the project to appear as though it still contained unsaved changes.
The fix ensures that dirty tags are cleared appropriately when schedule changes are removed, providing an accurate indication of pending project updates.
Fixed an issue where milestone tasks with Finish-to-Start or Finish-to-Finish dependencies could incorrectly move to the next business day when marked as complete.
Fixed an issue where automatic resource assignment based on Multi Role values did not occur when tasks were copied and pasted from one project to another. Tasks now correctly assign resources according to the configured Multi Role values after being pasted.
Fixed an issue where tasks created with the Multi Role field populated during the initial save action could fail to trigger auto-assignment after a page refresh. Tasks now correctly retain and apply the expected auto-assignment behavior.
Time entries created through the Time Tracker on the Project UI now correctly update the Actual Effort field. An issue that could cause the project to become unresponsive after refreshing the page has also been resolved.
Resolved an issue where, in Automatic scheduling mode, a Project Task constraint was incorrectly set four hours after the Start Date. This could result in unexpected changes to the task Duration and other schedule-related fields. The constraint is now applied using the correct date and time, ensuring task schedules remain accurate.
Fixed an issue where Task Bars in the Gantt Chart did not return to their full size after hiding a displayed Baseline. Task Bars now resize correctly when Baselines are hidden without requiring a component or browser refresh.
Fixed an issue where Projects were not rolling up to 100% Complete when all Project Tasks were marked complete and the Duration Unit field was blank. This occurred when the calculated Duration Unit defaulted to Days. The Duration Unit is now populated correctly to ensure Project completion status updates as expected.
Updated the Calendar View hover card in Gantt LWC to improve readability by reducing the font size of the Task Subject. The hover card now displays task details with the appropriate styling and sizing.
Fixed an issue where event filters entered in the Calendar sidebar were cleared after refreshing the page or Calendar component. Filter selections are now persisted and retained across refreshes as expected.
Resolved an issue where the Actual Effort and Actual Cost values were copied when Project Tasks were copied and pasted. Since these values are specific to the original task, they are no longer carried over to the newly created task.
Fixed an issue where task colors selected from the Project Schedule context menu were not being persisted after saving the project. Task colors are now retained correctly after updates.
Fixed an issue where selected dates were not visually highlighted when configuring Non-Working Weeks or Non-Working Days. Configured dates are now displayed with the expected highlight color, making it easier to verify saved calendar configurations.
Fixed an issue where moving a Sprint between Agile Projects did not add the Sprint’s assigned resources to the target project’s Project Team or Collaborators. Assigned resources are now carried over correctly when Sprints are moved between projects.
Resolved an issue where switching between Salesforce Service Console tabs caused Inspire Planner Projects to reload unnecessarily, even when no changes had been made. Projects now remain loaded when appropriate, resulting in faster navigation and an improved user experience.
Improved grouping behavior in the Task Console by resolving issues that could cause task rows or task icons (Chatter, Time Log, and Checklist) to disappear after regrouping, and preventing tasks from appearing multiple times across different pages.
Fixed an issue where the Ready to Start column was not available or visible in Task Console. The column is now displayed correctly and can be used as expected.
Fixed an issue where Tasks in Task Console Calendar View were displayed only on their Due Date and did not consider the Task Start Date or Duration. Tasks are now plotted correctly across their scheduled timeframe for all Task Console filters, including My Project Tasks, My Tasks, All Project Tasks, and All Tasks.
Fixed an issue where users without an Avatar displayed the default Salesforce silhouette instead of their name initials in Task Console. User initials are now displayed correctly in Kanban Cards and Chatter comments/replies, matching the behavior already available in Grid View.
Fixed an issue where the Portfolio Roadmap panel did not display projects with valid date spans. The roadmap now renders correctly for all portfolio projects that meet the required criteria.
Fixed an issue where the Assign Resource component loaded all existing Project Team members by default when accessed from the Project Team tab. The component now displays resources based on the configured Attributes, allowing users to search and add resources as intended.
Also, fixed an issue where opening the Assign Resource Tab from a Project Team record populated the Role attribute but did not return matching resources. Resource search results are now returned correctly based on the selected attributes.
Fixed an issue where searching for a Role in the Add Resource Demand dialogue within the Forecasting tab returned no results. Roles can now be successfully searched and selected when creating a Resource Demand.
Resolved an issue where icons in the Booking Appointments component were not displayed correctly when opened from a Project Task. Instead of the expected icons, white squares were shown. Icons now render correctly in the Booking Appointments interface.
This section provides updates on our legacy components, including Gantt Visualforce, Portfolio Visualforce, and Resource Allocation, in addition to detailing enhancements and fixes across various aspects of Inspire Planner like Inspire Planner System Jobs and the External Project Portal. While we continue to support these legacy components, we want to highlight our strategic shift towards prioritizing development on Lightning Web Components (LWC). This move is in line with our goal to harness the latest Salesforce technologies for delivering solutions that are not only more efficient and scalable but also rich in features. We encourage our users to start considering the transition to LWC-based components, to fully benefit from the continuous innovations within Inspire Planner.
An issue was identified where the Stopwatch component could not be used on custom objects that do not contain a standard Name field. This has been resolved by enhancing the Time Tracker record retrieval logic to properly support objects without a standard Name field, allowing the Stopwatch component to function correctly on these objects.
Resolved an issue where the Update Status of all Project Tasks from Status of related Salesforce Tasks action in Inspire Planner Settings did not update the corresponding Project Task statuses after being executed.
Fixed an issue where task assignment email notifications displayed merge field codes instead of the expected field values. Email templates now correctly resolve merge fields, ensuring recipients receive properly formatted task assignment notifications.
Resolved an issue where Parent Tasks were not consistently updated to Completed status and 100% Complete after all child tasks were marked as complete. In some scenarios, the parent task remained in an In Progress or Not Started state, and the % Complete indicator continued to display incorrectly.
The issue was related to the Parent Rollup process, where the rollup job responsible for updating parent task values was not always processing correctly. Enhancements were made to ensure Parent Task rollups are executed reliably and that Status and % Complete values are updated as expected after child task completion.
This fix improves consistency when synchronizing task updates and ensures that parent tasks accurately reflect the completion status of their subtasks.
